NORMAN NELSON PAINTING COMMISSIONS

Commissioning a painting offers an opportunity to acquire artwork that is truly connected to the collector. If you have a photograph, drawing, or know of a particular place you would like turned into art I will consider your selection.

The process is simple. You provide visual materials or a map to the location. I will send you three 5x9 inch watercolor studies at no cost. These small paintings will show different color palettes, compositions, and the format of your finished piece. From these paintings you select the design that meets your needs.

The finished oil, watercolor, or pastel is completed in a studio or on site. Some changes may be made to the finished piece based on your reaction.

A down payment is made at the time you select your design. This is not refundable. The balance is due on the presentation of the final piece or I retain the work.

Everything is open for discussion as the process of a commission is never the same. It is an exciting process where a collector and artist work together to create a valuable artistic piece.
